The Crochet Circle Club for Kids began on Wednesday, April 10 from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m., and will run on these May dates: May 1, May 15, May 22, and May 29.
Additionally:
Any teen is welcome to come to the Adult Knitting and Crochet Club which will meet on Thursday, May 23 at 6:30 p.m. Please bring medium sized crochet and knitting needles and a worsted weight ball of yarn. Meet with others and share patterns, and review stitches. Beginners, intermediates, and experienced crafters are all welcome. For more information, please call the Library at 203-758-3001.

A presentation of Female Civil War Spies”, Confederate and Union, will be held on Monday, May 20 at 6:30 p.m. Local-area resident, Matthew Bartlett will explain how women played an enormous role in our nation's greatest struggle, under a traditionally male role- as spies! Female spies played an intricate and important role in the spy networks that were set up during the Civil War. The presentation is open to all ages and no registration is necessary.

Enjoy and evening of Cartoon Fun! Nationally syndicated cartoonist for his comic strip, Soup to Nuts, Rick Stromski will present an evening of laughs, comics and cartoons with some examples of his work. Any children in the audience may receive one of his illustrations for free. Rick will also sell copies of his newest book, Soup to Nuts: A Second Helping. This program is free, and open to a general audience. Registration for this program has already begun.

An Overdrive Downloadble Ebook Training will be held on Thursday, May 30, at 6:00 p.m. Learn how to browse, check out, and download ebooks and digital audiobooks from the Prospect Lirary's downloadable service! Bring your ereader with you. Space is limitd to 20 people. Attendees must have a valid Prospect Library card. Please contact the library at 203-758-3001, FREE to register.
Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 6:30 p.m.
John Ellsworth, Founder and Director of the Vintage Radio and Communication Museum, will share his experiences in starting and operating the museum in Windsor, Connecticut on Tuesday, June 4, at 6:30 p.m. The museum celebrates the history of electronic communications and traces its development from the mid-1800s with Morse Code until the 1980s with the advent of home computers. Several antique radios and phonographs will be on display during the presentation. Event is open to all ages, and no registration is necessary.
