Mayor Robert Chatfield was reelected by a large margin. Votor
turnout was very high, over 70%, as votors turned out in large numbers to relect
the Mayor to his 14th term. Republican party candidates were also elected across
the board for Town Council, Town Boards and Commissions, and the Region 16
School District.

The $31.71 Million Region 16 School budget was rejected by voters 1063-799. Prospect residents voted No 607 to 541, and Beacon Falls voted No 456 to 258
